Welcome to my homepage!

I'm Joon Ahn. I'm from South Korea as much as looking like Korean. I'm currently a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Electrical Engineering in the University of Southern California, where I'm also a member, research assistant, and system administrator of the Autonomous Networks Research Group (ANRG) led by Prof. Bhaskar Krishnamachari.

As for my research, I'm interested in the performance analysis, protocol design, mathematical modeling of computer networks. Particularly, I am now working on the analysis of system behavior in terms of energy consumption and/or throughput using stochastic analysis and geometry for wireless sensor networks. I'm hopping to devise nice protocols and/or algorithms based on the intuition attained by those analyses.
