Hello!

I am Maheswaran Sathiamoorthy, a PhD Student at Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Southern California. I work with Prof. Bhaskar Krishnamachari and I am part of the Autonomous Network Research Group. I am also advised by Prof. Alex Dimakis.

I am broadly interested in networking and distributed storage systems. Specifically, I am interested in using coding techniques for distributed storage systems. Another area I am interested is Vehicular Networks. My current work focuses on designing and studying coded storage techniques for Vehicular networks and the Hadoop.

I did my B.Tech(H) in Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India from 2004 to 2008, four wonderful years. After that I came to USC for PhD. The first two years were mostly spent doing coursework. Below are a list of courses that I have taken at USC.

And by the way, I am the Teaching Assistant for Wireless and Mobile Networks Design and Laboratory course (EE579) for Spring 2012.
